Message from the Dean of Admissions

hank you for expressing an interest in Brooklyn Law School. We hope that our Web site will give you a sense of what we are all about and that you will periodically return to it for updated reports on the newsworthy things that are happening here. The process of identifying law schools that will best match your interests and talents should be both educational and fulfilling.

We invite you to discover the array of intellectual and professional resources our school has to offer. At BLS, you will find an innovative curriculum, respected faculty who believe in the importance of teaching, accomplished students, sophisticated academic facilities, and an exhilarating campus life. You’ll also find an emphasis on learning through hands-on experience. And all of this is set within one of the most historic and livable neighborhoods in the most exciting city in America.

If you want to learn more about Brooklyn Law School, we’ll gladly send you admissions information, including application materials, a bulletin and our new prospectus. You can also download and print application forms from this site. To request or print application materials, go to the How-to-Apply section of our Web site.

We suggest that you complete your research by making a personal visit to our campus. Walk through our buildings, talk with students and faculty, sit in the library and student dining hall, observe a class, explore the neighborhood, and take it all in. Do these things on your own or sign up for one of our weekly tours with an Admissions representative who will give you and your family a real “insider’s” view of the School. And if time permits, attend one of the admission workshops we regularly conduct for prospective students; you’ll come away with practical information about our admissions process and a greater awareness of our distinctive environment for learning. To plan your visit, simply go to the Meet Us section of this site for descriptions and schedules of our upcoming workshops and tours, and travel directions.

My colleagues and I are eager to assist you in any way that we can. Feel free to contact us if you have questions about Brooklyn Law School or our admissions program.

Finally, we look forward to reading your application. By applying for admission, you take the next step toward joining our special community and sharing our excitement.

With all best wishes for a successful outcome to your preparations for law school.

Henry W. Haverstick III
Dean of Admissions
