Beardsley represents lenders and borrowers in all types of finance transactions including asset based loans, leveraged financing transactions, aircraft financings, secured and unsecured lending transactions, revolving and term loan facilities, loan restructurings, and workouts and bankruptcy proceedings. Daniel C. Doeschner, previously an associate at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, joined the labor and employment firm of Greenberg Burzichelli Greenberg P.C. as an associate. Doeschner represents public sector unions in labor and contract matters. (3/28/2014)

Kent A. Eiler joined the Albany, NY law firm of Tully Rinckey PLLC, co-founded by Mathew B. Tully '02, as a senior associate in its Military Law Practice Group. Eiler, who is a Captain in the U.S. Air Force Reserve JAG Corps, served as an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate before joining the firm. (3/28/2014)

Marcus D. Friedman, previously an associate at Bracewell & Giuliani LLP, joined the New York office of Ropes & Gray LLP as an associate. Friedman advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, asset sales, private equity investments, financing arrangements, securities law compliance, corporate governance and general corporate matters in public and private takeovers, investments, restructurings and reorganizations in the U.S. and abroad. Michael R. Nerenberg, previously with Gorlick, Kravitz & Listhaus PC, joined Borah, Goldstein, Altschuler, Nahins & Goidal, P.C. as a senior real estate associate. He handles all transactional matters, including, but not limited to, commercial and residential sales and acquisitions, office and retail lease drafting and negotiations, commercial finance, and matters involving the representation of residential and commercial landlords and tenants in litigation. David K. Ries joined the Health Plan of San Mateo, CA as its provider network manager. The Plan manages Medicaid and Medicare coverage for San Mateo County's low-income residents. Ries is responsible for contracting with hospitals, medical practices and other service providers. He previously served as general counsel and compliance consultant for Human Capital Specialists, Inc. in San Diego, CA. (3/28/2014)

Benjamin L. Schiffman joined the Morristown, NJ firm of Crum & Forster, a provider of specialty and standard commercial lines insurance products, as corporate counsel. Schiffman focuses on regulatory and transactional matters. He was previously an associate at London Fischer LLP. (3/28/2014)

Jodi R. Siegel-Stein, previously an associate at Fox Rothschild LLP, joined the New York office of Herrick Feinstein LLP in the firm's Land Use Group. (3/28/2014)

Robert J. Walther, previously Deputy Director for Energy at Third Way, joined POET as its Director of Federal Affairs. POET is one of the world's largest ethanol producers and is a leader in biorefining. Walther is tasked with opening a POET office in Washington, D.C. and representing the company in talks with members of Congress, their staffs and federal agencies regulating renewable fuels. Daniel K. Wiig joined The Municipal Credit Union as in-house counsel and the faculty of St. John's University School of Law as an adjunct professor of law, where he teaches a course titled, "Litigation in New York's Commercial Division." He was also appointed a trustee of the Riot Relief Fund and to the Executive Committee of the New York County Lawyer's Association and serves as its Chair of Membership. (6/13/2014)
