Public Service Work Log
Please enter your public service hours and comments below. Public service for purposes of the log includes work done for credit or pay as well as on a volunteer basis
in government (except judicial), non-profit, or clinic settings. Public Service for purposes of the Public Service Awards for graduating students is more narrowly defined.
Please see below.
Please note:
Starting in January 2008, students will only need to (and will only be able to) fill in their hours for the immediately preceding semester.
Your response will help Brooklyn Law School to understand the extent and nature of services its students provide to the community, and will enable the Law School
to better serve those students and their efforts.
Public Service Awards for Graduating Students
Every spring, a
Public Service Awards Ceremony and Reception is held to honor graduating students having performed more than 50 hours of public service during law school. To qualify,
all asterisked fields must be completed, and the calculation of hours for the awards will be done by March 1st each year. Please note that while calculation of hours for
the Awards includes both paid and unpaid work in both non-profit and government (except judicial) settings, it does not include non-legal work nor work done for credit.
Thank you for your participation, and for your service to needy communities and on issues of importance to us all.
