he Center for Health, Science and Public Policy has forged a dynamic environment for outstanding legal education, policy innovation and scholarship.
Building upon faculty expertise and New York City’s world-class science and health care communities, the Center provides students the substantive knowledge and practical skills necessary to excel in the rapidly growing fields of health and science law.
Since its founding in 2002, the Center has become a leading resource for interdisciplinary dialogue among theoreticians and practitioners. Its symposia, seminars and workshops are designed to foster collaborative work on the most pressing issues of the day.
The Center is also renowned for Science for Judges, a program that draws federal and state jurists from across the country for intensive seminars on scientific evidence in the courtroom.
Our Mission
The Brooklyn Law School Center for Health, Science and Public Policy seeks to:

- Create an interdisciplinary venue where theory and practice meet and where new ideas, policies and programs are generated;
- Offer a rich and rigorous curriculum that provides students with the substantive knowledge and practice skills necessary to become excellent lawyers in fields related to health and science;
- Encourage scholarship and initiate research projects to improve the quality of health care services and the integrity of science.
