Do you watch the Scripps National Spelling Bee Competition and think to yourself, "I could totally have spelled that" when the student misspells "kirtle" or "shrieval"?  Do you think you can spell more legal words than a Constitutional Law Professor or a law school librarian? If so, we challenge you to prove it!
The Student Bar Association is pleased to announce that the 8th Annual Sara Robbins Memorial Spelling Bee will take place on Thursday, November 21 at 8 PM on the 10th floor, Subotnick Center.
Tickets cost $5 to participate, and $7 to watch. All proceeds go to the Sara Robbins Memorial Scholarship. If you would like to participate, please contact Gillian Serby at
There will be food and refreshments, as well as raffles, prizes, and a silent auction!

  • The Sara Robbins Spelling Bee was established in 2007 in honor of Professor Sara Robbins, a remarkable woman who directed the BLS library for 20 years. The money raised through ticket sales, raffles and a silent auction goes towards the Sarah Robbins Memorial Scholarship.
