Theresa J. Baker, assistant general counsel at Metlife, was nominated by Metlife as its 2013 Working Mother of the Year for Working Mother Magazine. Baker was recognized for her work handling complex litigation and regulatory matters while also having triplets and a husband in the Army Reserves who was deployed to Iraq when the children were nineteen months old. Gregg S. Peterman, Supervisory Assistant United States Attorney for the District of South Dakota, was awarded a 2013 Attorney General's Director's Award for Superior Performance in Indian Country, one of the highest awards that can be bestowed upon an Assistant U.S. Attorney. The U.S. Attorney's Office in South Dakota prosecutes felony crimes on nine Indian Reservations throughout the state. Peterman has served in the Justice Department for over 19 years. (6/9/2014)
