Brooklyn Law School’s new Center for Urban Business Entrepreneurship, or CUBE, will be the hub for exploring legal issues surrounding entrepreneurship, and for providing effective legal representation and support for new commercial and not-for-profit businesses — while also training the next generation of business lawyers to advise and participate in these sectors.
Whether in technology, real estate, media, creative arts, energy, or social enterprise, CUBE will offer the tools to support and help build the start-up successes of tomorrow and beyond.
Brooklyn Law School is uniquely located in an epicenter of entrepreneurship and innovation. The Brooklyn Tech Triangle (DUMBO), Downtown Brooklyn, and the Brooklyn Navy Yard) is the second-largest technology hub in the nation and a magnet for new business. CUBE is embedded in this community, with offices in DUMBO (55 Washington Street) and in Downtown Brooklyn’s MetroTech campus (15 MetroTech Center).
The CUBE curriculum is designed to provide students with foundational knowledge and hands-on, practical experience. Opportunities, programs, and events will include:
CUBE will also extend beyond U.S. borders, serving as the U.S. “landing strip” for a European consortium of 16 academic partners.
