The Brooklyn Law School community mourns the loss of a beloved colleague, fabulous teacher and cherished friend, Professor Michael P. Madow. Over the course of twenty-five years of service on the Law School faculty, teaching and writing in the areas of First Amendment and Mass Media Law and Criminal Law, he touched the lives of thousands of students. His gentle and unassuming manner could not completely mask a brilliant intellect that his colleagues respected and his students revered. He served on the Due Process Committee of the ACLU and the Communications and Media Law Committee of the New York City Bar. Although his presence will be missed, it will always be felt by the colleagues and students who knew and cherished him. We extend our deepest sympathy to his wife, Dr. Karen Brudney, his children, Benjamin and Hannah, and to his entire family.
