    07.09.12 Professor Roberta Karmel Discusses Morrison v. National Australia Bank in New York Law Journal

    In her monthly column “Securities Regulation” for the New York Law Journal, Professor Roberta Karmel discussed the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision of Morrison v. National Australia Bank. The decision, which creates a new transactional test for cross-border disputes, unnecessarily limits Section 10(b) class action suits, she argued. “The Supreme Court’s new test will lead to decisions that are at least as unpredictable and inconsistent as the conduct and effects test,” Professor Karmel wrote.
