    10.07.13 Brooklyn Law School Graduates Recognized as New York Super Lawyers

    More than 400 Brooklyn Law School graduates were recognized in the annual New York Metro edition of Super Lawyers Magazine. The magazine honors attorneys in each state based on peer recognition, professional achievement, and independent research.

    For the second year in a row, seven of the Top 50 Women recognized by Super Lawyers are Brooklyn Law School graduates: Colleen Caden ’99, Harriet Newman Cohen ’74, Barbara Kaplan ’75, Ellen Makofsky ’85, Eileen Nugent ’78, Jane Stevens ’77, and Lynne Fischman Uniman ’79. Newman Cohen, Makofsky, and Nugent also appeared on the Top 100 list, along with David Aronson ’74, Dennis Block ’67, Howard Hershenhorn ’89, Gerald Shargel ’69, and Vincent Syracuse ’69.

    The magazine also named 113 Brooklyn Law School graduates to its Rising Stars list, which recognizes New York’s best attorneys who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing law for ten years or less.

    Super Lawyers Magazine is published as a supplement in leading newspapers throughout the country and is recognized as an important publication among those in the legal field. The magazine is published in all 50 states and reaches more than 13 million readers.
