1901 Society
Dean Joan G. Wexler created the 1901 Society in 1999 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Law School’s founding. The 1901 Society is a venerable “Who’s Who” of Brooklyn Law School, with members representing a wide range of backgrounds and careers in private practice, government, business and industry. Conceived as a way to strengthen the Annual Fund, the 1901 Society provides opportunities for its members to meet and network with other high level professionals.
Members of the 1901 Society also receive a number of privileges. They are invited to participate in a variety of programs, including social gatherings, professional symposia, and receptions for dignitaries visiting the school. Members are also invited to attend cutting-edge symposia sponsored by the Law School and attend dinners and receptions at some of New York’s most celebrated venues.
1901 Society members commit to making an annual gift of $5,000 or more to the Law School’s Annual Fund, circumstances permitting. Younger graduates (within the last 10 years) may become Associate Members of the 1901 Society by committing to an annual gift of $1,000 or more.
If you are interested in joining the other 70 members who comprise the 1901 Society, please call the Office of Institutional Advancement at (718) 780-7966. If you would like, we will be pleased to schedule a personal meeting for you with Dean Joan G. Wexler.
