Proceeds of Play “The Exonerated” to Benefit Second Look Program

Nov. 2007 - The Red Fern Theatre Company is presenting The Exonerated from November 1 through November 11, 2007 at the 78th Street Theatre Lab. The play weaves together interviews, letters, transcripts, and case files to examine the stories of six wrongfully convicted survivors of death row. The theatre company is donating a portion of the proceeds to Brooklyn Law School’s Second Look Program, which serves to free innocent prisoners whose appellate remedies have run their course and whose cases do not involve DNA evidence. Such cases tend to be the most difficult to prove.
