About the Program
This daylong program provides a comprehensive update in the areas of criminal law, procedure, evidence, and ethics. Leading experts will review recent developments in confessions, search and seizure, and identification evidence. There also will be a review of new criminal justice legislation as well as panels on "hot button topics" and current ethical issues facing prosecutors and defense attorneys. Lunch and hard-copy materials will be provided.

The program honors the late Professor Robert M. Pitler, a member of the Law School’s faculty from 1988 until his death in 2015. Professor Pitler was a leading scholar and practitioner in the area of criminal law who was beloved by generations of students and colleagues.

CLE Credit Offered
The program provides 7 CLE credits in the State of New York. The credits are transitional and non-transitional and the categories are Professional Practice (5 credits) and Ethics (2 credits). Brooklyn Law School may offer financial assistance to participants who meet certain qualifications. Our financial aid policy is available at www.brooklaw.edu/financialaid. 

Registration
Register at www.brooklaw.edu/clpe by October 20. The cost of the program is $120, regardless of whether you attend for CLE credit. 

The program is free of charge for Brooklyn Law School faculty, staff and current students.
