Women's Leadership Network Virtual Discussion: Shaping & Re-Shaping Your Career in a Pandemic-Influenced World

About the Event

The pandemic has had a profound impact on work at all levels, and the legal profession is no exception. Nationally, law students are now confronted with challenges that include uncertain job prospects and deteriorating mental health and finances. On top of it all, many are concerned that their hard-fought career progression is stalled because of unpredictable outside forces, including company and industry disruptions. At this program, panelists will discuss how to rethink career opportunities in a new pandemic-influenced world. Panelists will share affirmative ways for attendees to successfully navigate professional networks, thrive in a remote work environment, and prepare for the changes in legal practice that our post-pandemic world will bring. Attendees will be encouraged by a broader dialogue about changes across industries to facilitate new job opportunities as well as positive action steps for both employers and employees to ensure successful careers and beyond.

Michael T. Cahill, President and Joseph Crea Dean, and Debbie Epstein Henry ’94, Chair, Women's Leadership Network and Founder, DEH Consulting, Speaking, Writing; Podcast Host, Inspiration Loves Company, will begin with a brief welcome and overview of the program.

Co-sponsored by the Women’s Leadership Network and the Legal Association for Women (LAW).
