2nd Annual Sports Law Symposium

About the Symposium

Please join the Brooklyn Entertainment & Sports Law Society (BESLS) & the Intellectual Property Law Association (IPLA) on Friday, November 11th for our second annual Sports Law Symposium. The symposium theme is “Sports Intellectual Property in a Time of Disruption," and will feature three panels and a keynote conversation.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. with introductions from BESLS and IPLA leadership and Dean Michael Cahill.

The subsequent three panels will focus on:

  • Panel 1: “Sports Trademarks: Challenges & Opportunities”
  • Panel 2: “The Future of Sports Broadcasting”
  • Panel 3: “Athlete Publicity Rights: College & Beyond”

Following the three panels, we will break for lunch and finish the day with a keynote conversation with Tim Slavin - CEO of One Team Partners.

Visitor COVID-19 Vaccination Policies and Guidelines

Brooklyn Law School faculty, students, and staff are required to be fully vaccinated and boosted. One-time visitors and guests who wish to attend in-person events at our campus, including the student residence, will have to provide the security guard on duty at the Law School with current photo identification, proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster, or in lieu of a booster, verification of a recent (within 48 hours of your onsite visit to the Law School), professionally administered negative COVID test.
