Brooklyn Law School Named a Top School for Music Law by Billboard

For the fourth consecutive year, Brooklyn Law School has been named to Billboard magazine’s list of top music law schools, published in the Oct. 20, 2018, print edition.

Billboard highlighted the Law School’s entertainment law offerings, certificate in intellectual property, media, and information law, and events that spotlight alumni in the industry. The magazine also noted prominent graduates in the field, including Interscope Geffen A&M executive vice president of urban operations Nicole Wyskoarko ’04, who is profiled in the fall issue of Brooklyn Law Notes.

Several alumni were named to Billboard’s list of Top Music Lawyers 2018, including Allen Grubman ’67 of leading entertainment law firm Grubman Indursky Shire & Meiselas, who was honored with an Alumni of the Year award by the Law School in February. He was joined on the list by Peter Brodsky ’90 of Sony/ATV Music Publishing; Paul Schindler ’71 of Greenberg Traurig; Jordan Bromley ’05 of Manatt Phelps & Phillips; and Ed Shapiro ’91 of Reed Smith.
