Biography
Professor Catharine Du Bois joins Brooklyn Law School after teaching as a visitor for two years with New York Law School’s legal practice team. She has been teaching legal analysis and communication to both law students and practicing attorneys since 2008 when she left practice. She is a Program Director at National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) where she leads seminars in Persuasive Writing. Before moving to New York City, she taught legal writing at the Maurer School of Law and taught Law and Public Policy at the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Du Bois is a graduate of Georgetown Law School. She practiced in the litigation departments of Jenner & Block LLP, Chicago, and Jones Day, New York. And, she clerked for the Honorable Steven D. Merryday of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
