Biography

Professor Lee’s principal research areas are in property, focusing on the intersection between moral reasoning and economic analysis in the law. His scholarship includes articles in the Texas Law Review, Michigan Law Review, Columbia Law Review, and a chapter in an Oxford University Press collection of papers on the philosophical foundations of property law. He is an Associate Reporter for the Restatement (Fourth) of Property and was elected to membership in the American Law Institute in 2015.

Professor Lee holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Princeton. Prior to joining the Brooklyn Law School faculty in 2009, he served as law clerk to Judge Ralph K. Winter, Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. In law school, he was a Book Reviews and Features Editor for the Yale Law Journal.
