Biography
Alba Morales joined the Brooklyn Law School faculty as an Assistant Professor of Legal Writing in 2024. She teaches Gateway to Lawyering I/II. Before joining the Brooklyn Law School faculty, Professor Morales taught in the Lawyering Program at New York University School of Law. Her research focuses on criminal procedure, particularly the rights of indigent defendants.Professor Morales graduated from New York University School of Law. She began her litigation career in the Legal Aid Society's criminal defense division. She has also worked at the Innocence Project, Human Rights Watch, the Federal Community Defender Office (Capital Habeas Unit) of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the Office of the Appellate Defender. She clerked for the Hon. Rosemary Barkett on the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
