Dean Nick Allard Writes Opinion Pieces for The Times of Israel and Washington Post

On March 17, Dean Nick Allard had his op-ed about rising anti-Semitism in the United States appear in The Times of Israel, while his opinion piece about a wine bar’s lawsuit against the president appeared in the Washington Post.

In “Intolerance must not be silently tolerated,” Allard writes: “The love affair and success of America and immigrant people, indeed of so many immigrant families of all faiths and backgrounds, has been intertwined and a mutual blessing. It is time to stand up, speak up, and work hard to assure that it ever be so. Keep America great, together.”

In “How Trump should respond to the Cork Wine Bar lawsuit,” Allard explains why the case in which a Washington, DC restaurant lawsuit raises larger question about setting a good ethical example on behalf of the White House.

“The president and his staff should be trying to set the best example of ethical, virtuous conduct,” he writes. “Instead, the White House relies on gray areas, loopholes, pretense and sheer chutzpah to thumb its nose derisively at the rule of law again.

Allard is the President and Joseph Crea Dean, and Professor of Law at Brooklyn Law School. He also serves as Senior Counsel in the Public Policy and Regulation practice at Dentons, a global law firm with presence in more than 50 countries. Before joining the Law School in 2012, Allard served as chair of the Public Policy Department and co-chair of the Government Advocacy Practice Group at Patton Boggs in Washington, D.C. He was recognized as one of D.C.’s “Top Lobbyists” by The Hill from 2008 to 2011.
