Bernard Nash ’66 Wins National Award for Best Legal Blog
Bernard Nash ’66, cochair of Cozen O’Connor’s State Attorneys General Practice and coeditor of the firm’s State AG Report blog, won the “Blog of the Year Award in Law” at the Burton Awards for Legal Achievement on May 22.
The awards program, which recognizes excellence in legal writing, reform, and public service, is held each year in association with the Library of Congress, sponsored by legal newswire Law360, and cosponsored by the American Bar Association. This is the first time the Burton Awards recognized a Blog of the Year.
State AG Report provides weekly updates to clients along with biographies of State Attorneys General, information about elections, and a national calendar of AG meetings.
“State AGs have become increasingly prominent and influential on issues impacting the business community and broader legal landscape,” Nash and his coeditor Lori Kalani said in a statement. “We are very proud of the dedication of our team to keep clients current on these issues, and are humbled that their hard work and professionalism have been recognized by an organization that is so highly respected in the legal field.”
Nash has helped build Cozen O’Connor’s State AG Practice, which focuses on resolving State AG disputes, to be one of the largest in the country.
He and his wife, Phyllis, established the Bernard Nash Scholarship fund at Brooklyn Law School, which is awarded each year to a student who has demonstrated academic excellence and has financial need.
