Joseph J. Lynch ‘02 Honored with Robert F. Kennedy Award for Humanitarian Services
Joseph J. Lynch ’02, managing partner of Nixon Peabody’s New York office, is the 2018 recipient of the Robert F. Kennedy Award for Humanitarian Services for his work in affordable housing. The award is given annually by the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation to individuals “who have made substantial contributions to the Bed-Stuy community.” The late U.S. Senator Robert F. Kennedy was a founder of the group.
“I’m incredibly honored by this award,” said Lynch, a partner in his firm’s nationally recognized Affordable Housing group within the Real Estate & Community Development department. “I remember attending many town hall meetings with tenants and neighborhood residents. We’ve accomplished so much in the years behind us, but there is a lot to be done in the years ahead, in neighborhoods like Bed-Stuy and beyond.”
Lynch was honored Oct. 9 at “Restore Brooklyn,” Restoration’s annual benefit gala, held this year at Cipriani 42nd Street.
