Borough President Declares November 6 “Joseph Crea Day” in Brooklyn
The office of Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams has declared Nov. 6, 2019, “Professor Emeritus Joseph Crea Day in Brooklyn, U.S.A.” A presentation of the proclamation was made at a memorial celebration of Crea’s life and legacy at the Law School.
Crea, a member of the Class of 1947, died August 2 at age 104. He taught at the Law School for more than 60 years.
“[O]n behalf of all Brooklynites...I pay homage to the legacy of Professor Emeritus, Joseph Crea; and I thank everyone present for all that they have done to help our communities move forward as One Brooklyn,” wrote Adams in the Proclamation.
