Join the Student Engagement Council
Become a founding member of the Student Engagement Council and collaborate with the Dean’s office, and the Advancement staff to create engagement opportunities that deepen your relationships with the school, your fellow classmates, our alumni, and philanthropy.
Council Member Responsibilities:
- Attend meetings and help develop and implement the Council’s initiatives and programs.
- Be a student ambassador, lend your story and experiences to be featured in a variety of BLS print and digital publications and appeals.
- Direct and participate in the following student fundraising initiatives:
- GivingTuesday, 11/29/2022 + Spring Day of Giving, 3/23/2023
- Help create and monitor the giving page on the GiveCampus platform
- Create a calendar for outreach emails, draft email copy to be sent by Advancement
- Lead by example: make a gift in support of the initiative and encourage peers to participate in giving efforts. Success is measured by participation with a goal of inspiring your classmates to give back, no matter the size of the gift.
- Organize and participate in tabling throughout the academic year
- Help thank participants, select recognition gifts, and send notes and emails
- Help engage alumni through a spring donor Thank-a-Thon and other activities designed to deepen their relationships with the Law School.
