Staff attorneys and social workers from The Legal Aid Society, Juvenile Rights Practice will share their research on recognizing the secondary trauma stress arising from public interest and/or direct representation of vulnerable client populations. They will also discuss strategies for addressing vicarious trauma and professional burnout through, among other things, stress management methods developed in the course of their research as well as guide participants through mindfulness practices.
